Heather & Shi had an amazing wedding full of emotion.

When we met Heather and Shi, they had a long distance relationship. Shi was living up north in another state, while Heather lived in Virginia. The two were both in the medical field, but still found the time to plan their beautiful wedding day. Fun fact about Heather, she is a skilled arts and crafts creator. She took on the task to make all the centerpieces for her wedding. They were some of the coolest wedding details I personally have ever seen.

We were able to Facetime with them a few weeks before the wedding. It was all laughs and jokes with these two. Heather alerted me of Shi’s fun dance moves. You’ll see that in the film. What we did not expect was the large amount of emotion that Shi would show is wife. Most grooms are cool and try to hold back the tears. Shi was a well full of tears on the wedding day.

The day was rewarding in all aspects. It was the ultimate reward for a filmmaker. Many filmmakers would agree, we are often forgotten on the day because couples really don’t understand what goes into creating a great film. Heather and Shi were different. They took the time to understand what we we envisioned for their film. The ultimate reward for a filmmaker is your clients being on the same page as you with how you want to showcase their film.

We were able to work side by side with the amazing husband and wife team of Main+Simple Photography out of New York, New York. These two are amazing lifestyle wedding photographers, who’s work will leave with speechless! I believe the personality of this couple was captured in the photos and the film.
