Wedding videography is built on a few must have items; preparation, ceremony, first dance, speeches, party. In that order for the most part.

Anything you get outside of that is extra icing on the cake. The other moments make wedding videography unique. The other moments help make a wedding videographer unique. Some wedding videographers include the other moments in their films. I personally do not include the other moments. The garter being one of those other moments. It is very rare the garter is unique. Once you have been in wedding videography long enough, all of them look the same.

But there are times where some grooms take it a step further. They think outside the box and put on a production. 2017, we were fortunate to witness some amazing garter retrievals. 2017 might have been the year of the garter. There are some moments in wedding videography you go, “wow”. These moments you are about to see, are those moments. Enjoy the Year of the Garter 2017!
