Why You The Couple Shouldn’t Skip One on One time with Your Wedding Videographer

In a previous post, I explained why a wedding videographer shouldn’t pass up on one on one time with his or her couple.

Now I want to explain why a couple shouldn’t pass on one on one time with their videographer.

I have spoken to a few wedding videographers, who have found it difficult to get the proper time they need for their wedding videography. They feel left out of the creative process and they have found themselves watching from a distance as the couple poses for the photographer.

Wedding videography is just as important as wedding photography. We all are a team, but as a couple it is important for you to treat us that way. I understand the photos may be more important. It may be a big chunk of the budget, but if you book a videographer, you booked him or her for a reason. His or her work stood out to you. As a couple, give them the opportunity to create, just like the photographer.

You will appreciate it so much later when you are viewing the wedding film. When you are hearing your vows, but you see your hands slowly connecting with the sum bright in front of you. Those are the moments that send goosebumps down your back. Those moments make you appreciate your decision to add wedding videography to your list.

Don’t rob your wedding videographer of the moments like your one on one time. I know you may be thinking, do I have to make extra time for that? No, you can simply share the time with the photographer. Most photographers love working with the videographer to help get gorgeous shots. Iron sharpens iron!
