A wedding day is about moments. It is about capturing those moments in a cinematic way. Let’s just say you decided to go that route and you have the clips. Now what? Who is going to edit it? The technical answer is yes that is a form of editing, but it is not professional.

The professional editor in wedding videography is an artist and problem solver. An artist creates. A video editor takes the clips of a wedding day, he or she studies them, they make notes on them. The editor determines how to tell the best story or create the best video with the footage he or she is given. What if the clips from the ceremony are slightly dark? What if the sound was too loud? A professional video editor knows exactly how to fix it.

A dark ceremony, let’s look at raising the exposure a smidge. The music was too loud, let’s decrease the normalization on the audio to lower the Dbs. I know what you are thinking after reading those last two sentences, “I have no idea what he is talking about”. Exactly! When you have your home remodeled, do you know all the technical terms the contractor speaks? No, because they are the experts. Your wedding videographer Is the expert. It is our job to craft the story, to create a video that sparks your memories and places you back on your wedding day, where all the raw emotion existed.
