Jacob + Kristina had the type of wedding as a wedding videographer, you’d never expect. What I mean by that is it was the party of the year! I danced, I filmed, and I did a lot of laughing.

It started with a simple meeting amongst vendors at the Botanical Gardens. I am sitting there waiting to show examples of my work. I pulled up my laptop and show one of my wedding films. Kristina immediately starts to cry. It was nothing new. I had gotten that reaction from other people before. It is a great feeling. A week later, I am at another vendor party. Kristina approaches me to ask me a question. We walk over to the corner and as we walk, I am wondering, what could she possibly want? I hope she is not crazy. I look over my shoulder and her friend, Rodyan Quinonez, is following me. Again in my mind, I am really wondering now what is going on

Kristina asks me to shoot her wedding. I was honored, until she told me it was next month. Talk about last minute…LOL… It was my first vendor wedding. I felt some pressure with that. What if I bomb it? What if it doesn’t come out like my other films? She is a vendor; the whole industry will see it. But I agreed to do it. I don’t know why, but I did.

And it turned out to be the best decision ever.

Not because her wedding was so beautiful, but because of the friends I have gained. The best weddings for me, are the ones where you build friendships. I can truly say, I have gained several friendships and I thank Kristina and Jacob for that opportunity. I also got the opportunity to work with Agha Photo. A true master of photography. r.
