Matt + Catherine was EPIC! The 2014 wedding season kicked off with one of my favorite weddings of the year with one of the most interesting couples I have ever met. Matt and Catherine had been dating since high school, and went through life standing by one another. I met Catherine at a vendor dinner a couple weeks prior to her wedding day. First things first, I was excited to be working with some of my friends, Mike of Dragon Studios, Shay of Pinch of Charm, and Jeff of Colonial DJs, for this wedding. Anytime you bring top wedding vendors together, you’re destined for a good time. I met Catherine and her dad, Ted, at the dinner and I quickly saw Ted was a big teddy bear and Catherine was a true daddy’s girl. Catherine was simply amazing. She was engaged in the process, but at the same time wanted us to do what we do best. The day before the wedding I had the pleasure of meeting Matt, who had a swagger that most grooms couldn’t even compete with. I also had the pleasure of meeting Catherine’s mom, Rita. I can tell you this, Rita Quinn carried herself with class and grace, but knew how to party like she was 21 years old! The day of the wedding was a beautiful one. The skies were clear, love was in everyone’s heart, and partying was on the couples mind. They said I DO in front of a church full of their family and friends. Shay made sure we were on point, Mike made sure we were having fun, and Jeff made sure everyone partied until the lights came on. The couple were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Hampton, Virginia, and journeyed over to the Newport News Marriott for the party, I mean reception. LOL. It’s weddings like this that deserve a blog post!!Vendors:Wedding Planner:Shay of Pinch of CharmPhotography:Mike of Dragon StudiosDJ: Jeff of Colonial DJsHair:Animare Salon and SpaMakeup: Theresa Little Ceremony:First Presbyterian Church in Hampton, VirginiaReception Venue: Newport News Marriott
