Lauren was on the fence about having a wedding videographer. She knew she needed it, but, as with most brides, video was not at the top of the list. That is no problem for me. I am used to it. Lauren’s father, Jim, was in charge of booking everything, and it was the first time I have dealt with a dad. Jim Bertolino loves his daughter very much. You could tell just by the way he talked about her that this wedding was as big for her as it was for him. I knew wedding videography was important. What parent wouldn’t want to preserve the biggest moment of his or her child’s life? Wedding videography is not just for couples. It is for the parents too.The statement “for better or for worse” stands true outside of just the wedding ceremony. It applies to the wedding videography industry as well. You do not get sick days- unless you are on your deathbed of course, and that is something many people do not understand. When a client books me, I do my absolute best to be present at the wedding. Lauren and Owen’s wedding was a day I struggled. I had walking pneumonia and bronchitis the week of their beautiful wedding, but as their wedding videographer, I knew I had to deliver.I met with Lauren while I was sick. She didn’t know that. There was no reason for her to know. If you are in the wedding videography industry and you are worried about a sickness, switch careers. We work in this field in for better or for worse. This is what separates you from other wedding videographers in this industry. Lauren and Owen’s wedding day was memorable on all levels. From the prep, to décor, to the Band, Strictly Bizzness Band. Their wedding was one of my favorites of 2016. I spent more time than I usually do editing their film for you to view, because their was so much content, and I had to showcase it in the best way. I hope you enjoy. Wedding videography is for better or for worse. Rain or shine, sickness or health, the magic will happen!
P.S.-Notice, we found dolphins!
