Intellect Media was started in 2012 after the completion of bachelor degree. Originally it was started because most companies would not give a college graduate a chance in the Virginia area. Of course jobs will tell you they want experience, but how was I going to get that when no one would give me a chance. So I decided to start my own. When I first started, I’ll admit, I had no idea what I was doing. I figured, I have my film degree…business will just fall in place. Yeah, you can probably guess the outcome of that mentality. Total fail!!! It took about a year of experimenting, training, and pushing my creativity to finally get my confidence up to step out in the world of business. I guess you could say, I was business shy. 2013 turned out to be a big year! Intellect Media grew to be more than I could even imagine. I was fortunate to meet some great vendors, some who became good friends. I also was able to work with some of the best clients. Overall, it was a year of growth and risks. Each year has it’s own challenges and goals. 2014 has been titled, “The Year of Evolution”. After months of sitting in the lab and thinking about how I can grow in the 2014. I determined it was a year of change. Like when Kobe Bryant went from wearing number 8 to 24. When Lebron James went from wearing 23 to 6. When Michael Jordan went from 23 to 45 (although he did it for only a year, you get the point). Yes, I make I will make a lot of sports references! Intellect Media has decided to rebrand to our roots, cinema. Yes, there is a difference between video and cinema, but I will talk about that in a later post. The beginning of the “The Year of Evolution” starts with the unveiling of our new logo and website. I want to thank Will from Pro Look Media for seeing my vision and making it come to life.
