When Marcus, owner and mastermind of Intellect Media, first approached me about writing a series of blogs on the importance of wedding videography, to be honest, I was a little apprehensive.

First of all, anyone who knows me, knows I am not one to blow smoke up anyone’s ass. I’m also not exactly the “ideal bride” wedding bloggers dream about. My husband and I paid for the wedding ourselves so our budget was very limited. I didn’t plan my wedding since I was nine, in fact, I wanted to elope and go on vacation to some far away tropical island and sip coconut-flavored mojitos. This should have been me.

However, my husband Jake, total hopeless romantic.

So to make his fairy tale dreams come true, I agreed to a wedding… with lots of whiskey! Nevertheless I was still far from your fluffy pink, gooey love, extravagant bride.

So I was confused why Marcus would want me, of all his clients, to write this series, but when Marcus said “I just want you to be yourself, and tell the REAL truth.” I thought… why the hell not?
